Today’s Random Musings: Photography

February 6, 2010

I have been a photography enthusiast for most of my life.  Although I did not take any of the pictures which appear on this website, having been an Arizona resident for over 20 years, I can assure you that Arizona is a gold mine for fellow photographer hobbyists.

Many photographic locales come to mind:  Monument Valley (which is featured on this site and actually located in Utah); the Grand Canyon (anyone can shoot from the rim, the unique pictures come from the Canyon bottom by the river); the Chiricahuas, Organ Pipe, the Superstitions, Lake Powell…………..  But what I really enjoy is packing the camera equipment and exploring the back roads and non-descript places (Ghost Towns) where true gems await to have their photograph taken.  And sometimes, a good photo is just outside your door or in your backyard.

Please feel free to share your favorite photographic haunts whether it be in Arizona or elsewhere.  It would be fun to hear from you.
